lineAs you begin the journey to teach your child at home, please remember that this in new to me too. I never imagined that I would not be able to finish out the year with your child. I miss each student so much but understand how important it is to keep everyone safe! When you look at the first packet, please don't be overwhelmed. It was difficult for me to decide what to send and what to set aside for now. If it is overwhelming at first, just do what you can and let your child guide you. The kindergarten students know the routine and should be able to help you along the way. Please don't hesitate to call me any time to ask for help, guidance, or moral support. I will check in with each of you to find out what works and what I need to adapt. Thank you so much for being patient with me and with this process!!
I have been looking at different websites and found a few that I feel may be beneficial and thought your child might enjoy them too! Here is a list:
These first two are fantastic for reading.....they have books that the kids can read and emergent readers can even listen to someone read.
getepic.com (this also has an app)
www.storylineonline.net
The rest of these sites include math, science, reading, history, and music and movement activities. Some are just plain fun!
edhelper.com (free worksheets by grade level)
switcheroozoo (also has an app)
www.kids.nationalgeographic.com
www.highlightskids.com
www.starfall.com
www.pbskids.org
www.abcya.com
www.funbrain.com
www.ducksters.com
gonoodle.com (for music and movement)
www.abcmouse.com - This is a great website for reading instruction for preschool/kindergarten kids but it does have a subscription fee. I looked at the website on 3/31/20 and it had a 30 day free trial. After that you would have to pay the subscription fee.
